Ironically, a company's balance sheet fails to account for its most valued assets - its relationships, brand(s), credibility and reputation. Aside from their direct impact on many aspects of doing business, these assets strongly affect a company's market value.
Effective communication is the true foundation upon which these most valued assets are built. To be effective, communication must be managed strategically. Otherwise, miscommunication will lead to misunderstanding. Non-communication will lead to lost opportunities. Both diminish an organization's assets in an infinite number of ways.
